I hated it when I was told that rates went down due to low volume so the manager asked me to cut the rates. All of sudden, a long-term relationship went into vain especially when the carrier needed it most. PS: I also have some brokers who never did this. Good question… with Convoy going out of business JB Hunt’s brokerage losing money… a lot of other brokerage companies are shall we say not in great financial profit loss, so is there an even a role for brokers?
