She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late John Sr. and Marion (Little) Bintz on May 7th, 1939. She grew up in Zanesville, Ohio with her two brothers (Jack Jr. and Dan Bintz) and two sisters (Candy and Cheryl "Cheri" Bintz). She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1957.
